“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
--Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Monday, January 18, 2010, Alexian Brothers AIDS Ministry will be joining community organizations all over the country in celebrating the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service.

To honor Dr. King’s legacy of challenging individuals to work toward the betterment of society, we have chosen to see this as a “day on” and not a “day off.” We would like to invite your organization or group to join us this January by hosting a Donation Drive to benefit the residents of Alexian Brothers Bonaventure House and The Harbor.

The specifics of the drive can be tailored to your organization, and a full list of the items we are hoping to collect is included in this flyer.
Please contact Devon (773-327-9921 ext. 138 or dparish@abam.org) if you are interested in holding a drive or volunteering to collect items in the Lakeview neighborhood on MLK Day itself. http://www.bonaventurehouse.org/
